DESCRIPTION
"MAU devices attached to the ring may be deduced in
real time, however, sometimes the CAU will get it wrong.
This is an unsolvable problem. To get round this, the
MAU topology may be saved in the configuation ROM so
that the calculation does not have to be performed each
time. This variable determines how the MAU topology
will be found."
